At Abhainn Ri cottages overlooking the Blessington lakes you can try a different activity every day as Wicklow has lots of family fun & leisure activities that everyone can enjoy. Adults can enjoy the peaceful walk and children are welcome to assist us in feeding the small animals each evening and we will supply the small feeding buckets, all you need are your boots. Children love to learn about caring for the animals and we feed the hens, ducks, pigs, goats, donkey's and take Buzz the sheep dog for a little walk. Children ask lots of questions and it is amazing how much they learn.

In the area why not take a boat trip on the lakes and enjoy some fishing and a picnic by the lake shore with Blessington Lakes Boat Hire. Learn a new skill like horse riding nearby at Kildare International Riding School and very suitable for all ages.

Take a day trip to Dublin - Luas light rail into city center is only a 20 mins drive from Abhainn Ri to Citywest free carpark. Car free worries while enjoying a trip to Dublin city center. You can take a day trip and visit Dublin Zoo to see a wonderful selection of animals.
